I have two children of my own, Max and Ellie who were the reason and inspiration for me taking on the nursery 9 years ago, in fact it was Max who named it! I am passionate about children’s start in life and am driven by giving every child in our care the best foundation to build upon. My role is to run a healthy business, offering our parents the best service we can provide.
I have over 14 years of experience in child care. I started my training as a Modern Apprentice on this site 13 years ago. Since then I have completed my Level 2 and 3 NVQs in Childcare and Education. I am a Level 2 and 4 qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator and have a number of years of experience working alongside other professionals in this sector.
During my time at the nursery I have been a Team Leader and Deputy Manager, all of which has been valuable experience to becoming Nursery Manager.
My drive has always been to ensure our children are given the best start in life. To do this I am committed, along with my team, to provide the highest standard in childcare and education.
I began working at Jingle Bell House as the Baby Unit Team Leader, progressing to Deputy Manager in 2015. I thoroughly enjoy working with children across the nursery, watching them develop and grow.
I became interested in Child Development whilst studying for a degree in Psychology and went on to specialise my knowledge by completing a post graduate certificate in Early Years and becoming an Early Years Professional (EYP).
I am interested in special needs, having supported children one-to-one in a primary school. I am now the nursery SENCO and Communication Champion.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to work with children. I studied at Brockenhurst College in 2010 and qualified in 2012 with a childcare level three qualification. Once qualified I came to work at Jingle Bell House straight away.
I have now been working at Jingle Bell House for 4 years. I have been a Room Leader and now I am a Team Leader with the 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
I am very passionate about the early years and love watching the progress and development the children make in my care.
I have 9 years of experience in childcare. I began at the Jingle Bell House in 2008 as a Nursery Nurse and progressed to Team Leader in 2015. I enjoy working with all ages but especially the 0-2 year olds. I particularly enjoy seeing the children develop and learn new skills and watching them grow up to become pre-schoolers and ultimately confident school leavers.
